Kent Armstrong Humbucker Pickup Model Overview:
All of the Kent Armstrong Humbuckers come complete with wiring diagram, flat-base mounting ring, mounting screws and springs. They also feature 4 core cable for optional coil-tapping capabilities.
6 Shooter PAF: ALNICO V / D.C. =8.9K- Sweet and soulful classic PAF tones with a warm bass, punchy mids, and a smooth treble response. Very reminiscent of a vintage PAF but with enhanced string definition and sounds great with foot pedal effects for great warm vintage tone.
Magnum PAF 12 adjustable pole: ALNICO V / D.C. 8.8K- One of Kent’s favorite recipes. Take the classic Patent-Applied-For 6 Shooter design, add a few more coil winds and then put adjustable pole pieces on each of the coils to give a better magnetic balance as well as offer greater adjustability from string to string. Superb string definition and clarity. Ideal for clean and moderate distortion amplification. Pedal friendly. 12 individually adjustable pole pieces give better magnetic balance between the two coils.
Nitrobucker PAF: CERAMIC / D.C. =9.5K- Take the classic Patent-Applied-For 6 Shooter design and switch that Alnico magnet to a ceramic magnet. Great option for a higher output bridge pickup when used with the standard 6 Shooter pickup in the neck. Great for rock where more gain is used and string definition is needed.
Rocker Hot Rod Vintage: ALNICO V / D.C. =15K- High output humbucker, more powerful than the 6 Shooter but less than the Grinder. Has a thicker and darker sound when compared to the ceramic Super Rocker. Great for classic Rock and other medium gain tones. Can put in the bridge position with one of our 6 Shooter's in the neck for an unstoppable combo.
Super Rocker: CERAMIC / D.C. =15K- A rich-sounding high output humbucker more powerful than the 6 Shooter but less than the Grinder. Great for Rock and other medium gain tones. Can put in the bridge position with one of our PAF's or in the neck with one of our Grinder's.
Grinder Super High Output: CERAMIC / D.C. =19K- This pick-up works great with high gain! A big, tight, focused bass resonse, and punchy highs ensure that this loud pick-up will always cut through. Excellent attack and string-to-string note definition. Ideal for heavy Rock and Metal.
