Guitar pot with audio (log) taper. This guitar pot is an ideal upgrade for volume and tone controls on instruments that use Humbucking pickups. Split shaft for push fit knobs.
Not all CTS pots are alike - the CTS pots that we stock are the top-of-the-range 450 series and are developed using 9% +/- tolerances and built at 10% over the standard 500K rating (550K). This ensures optimum performance and guarantees that your potentiometers will always be at least the value stated. Our CTS pots are unlike many other standard pots that use industry standard 20% tolerances where, in most cases, are way under the specifications you need to ensure good tone from your pickups. We added brass components and a high quality wiper versus what comes standard on most run of the mill pots to ensure long life, quality and consistent performance. Comes complete with two nuts and washers.
Our CTS pots have 24 splines which is the same specification that many USA-made instruments use, such as guitars from Fender and Gibson. If your guitar already is made in the USA then your original knobs should fit straight on. If you are fitting these pots to an instrument that previously was fitted with pots that have 18 splines (typically Epiphone or any other guitar made in Japan, Korea or China) then chances are the existing knobs will not fit. Therefore, please see our range of replacement knobs that are labelled as being "USA fit and CTS". Any of the other knobs labelled as 'metric' will not fit.
Here's what one happy customer had to say about our CTS pots - "I have to say that the CTS pots that I have received have been a revelation to the guitars tone. It is now clearer than ever as well as being less susceptible to background noise. On top of this the smoothness of the tapers exudes quality and they are well worth the asking price."

Make sure all mounting holes and pickup cuts are positioned correctly. Pickguard replacement warranty will be void if the protective cover has been removed. Removing the protective film means that the item is not in a re-saleable condition and therefore we cannot accept it back for a refund.
