I had just purchased a 2006 PRS Sc245 in great condition with a fantastic top on her. Now this is the first Sc ive had, I'm historically a Floyd kinda guy and do like to bend aggressively so was pulling the keys slightly out of tune now and then. After research and advice from Dan at WD we settled on the Revolutions as an ideal replacement upgrade. We were not wrong, these are solid, smooth running and the 19/1 gear ratio I would recommend all day long. During the replacement the only slight issue I had was getting the old bushes out, slowly slowly with a long driver or buy the correct removal tool or if not confident leave it to someone that knows what they are doing, and I had to file the coating of lacquer from inside the peg hole to get the new ones to fit. Overall, fantastic tuners, great service from WD. Good advice on getting the right product that fitted correctly and super speedy delivery!!

I bought these tuners to replace some standard vintage-style Klusons fitted to an SG Jr-style kit guitar I made. The standard tuners were fine, but with extra veneer and paint on the headstock, I'd made it too thick for there to be a sensible length of tuner post below the hole to get more than one wrap of string around it. So some locking tuners seemed the most logical way to go, and these fitted the bill perfectly. As expected, the fixing screw holes matched exactly and it was a matter of a few minutes before the old tuners were off and the new tuners were on and the string back on and in tune.

The 19:1 ratio does help in getting the string exactly in tune and the tuners are very smooth in operation and I've had no issues with the locking mechanism.

Like all locking versions of existing tuners, they are heavier than the originals, so if you have a guitar that is already prone to neck-dive, then it's worth thinking if you can do without the extra weight. And whilst more vintage-styled than most locking tuners, you'd never mistake them for anything else from the side or the rear. And it's only when viewed directly from the front that you can't see the square ends of the tuning key supports, which quickly give the game away when viewed from even a slight angle. A shame they couldn't have made these smaller/shorter/generally less visible.

But those minor niggles aside, they really are very nice tuners.

I have a 2020 60's 60th les paul reissue, fitted with vintage style kluson deluxe which are 14 or 15 to 1 ratio, and often found string was hard to get to tune, a small movement would but you over or under by a cent or two. Not so with these 19-1 ratio mechanism, can tune to exactly the correct frequency with no hunting up and down. An added benefit which was not expected was the intonation at the 'cowboy' end was greatly improved. Chords intonate correctly and for lead playing upto 15th fret is spot on. I am not overly fond of the style, they look a bit out of style for rest of guitar when I see the backs of them when playing. The nickel is way to new looking as well lol. The have had a minor effect of the upper frequencies, not sure if its the extra 42gms of mass or the more accurate tuning allowing the notes to ring clearer. would buy another set but I'm skint now.
